Title: How do you and your family celebrate SANKRANTI?Share your unique tradition.

Introduction:
MakarSankranti, according to hindu tradition, it is a very auspicious occasion. It marks the change of the sun into Makar. On this day several devotees often prayers to the sun god after taking a dip in holy rivers across the country.

Body:
I hope you all know about the MakarSankranti festival. Here at my village we celebrate grandly.By the gathering of families from different places, cities and what not.......This is the time where we all gather at a place, enjoy and also as well as celebrate the festival with a tons of happiness. For this festival I have been to my Grandma's house which is a bit far away from my home town of around 50+ kms.I actually won't go to my Grandma's home often due to my studies and works, by this time the MakarSankranti has made me go there and enjoy the festival season.

Mainly during the festival season there will be some plenty of vehicles moving from their cities to their villages for celebrating the festivafs. Its a peak time where all travel at the same time. Also this is the only time where all the families gather at one place.

Meanwhile after going there I got to know that even my relatives are coming there along with my cousins, uncles and aunts.I felt so happy that everyone is heading for this festival.

SANKRANTI bring back memories of my village where the ambiance amid coconut groves ,paddy fields and meandering canals is truly magical.

The festival kick off at 4 to 5 A.M with Bhogi Mantalu, signifying the release of negativity and the embrace of new beginnings.LargeRangolis, adorned with colorful patterns drawn using muggu, embellish the front's of our house. These Rangolis are decorated with gobbemmalu,     regi pallu (jujebi), turmeric, vermillion and flowers at the center. In the village there is a friendly competition among the villagers to create a bigger and beautiful rangolis compared to others.

My go-to tradition every year, is to watch all the Sankranti releases.I go to the theater with my cousins for the evening show on all three days. The experience of watching movies on the big screen, along with festive atmosphere is something you have to witness first hand to understand.

What's a Sankranti without the pindi vantalu.Ariselu, a unique traditional sweet dish that is made popularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We enjoy a delightful spread of various dishes along with these sweets.

 Conclusion:
                       MakarSankranti
is a festival day in the Hindu calendar, devoted to the deity Surya. It is perceived each year in the lunar month of Maga.It is a day, the people rejoice their harvest and prays to God.
