Sankranthi, celebrated across India, is not only a harvest festival but also a time to bring communities together to celebrate the fruits of their labor. Through shared rituals, communal activities, and festive spirit, Sankranthi plays a significant role in strengthening community ties

Families and neighbours gather to prepare and share traditional dishes like tilgul (sesame and jaggery sweets), rewri, and chikki, and often exchange sweets and delicacies made from freshly harvested crops. It is a time when people visit each other’s homes, reinforcing bonds and creating a sense of togetherness.
