Target NEET
To score good marks in any competitive exam students should have clarity on the type of questions they are going to answer. This is because different questions need different skills to answer. Let us see the different types of questions that were given in the last three years of the NEET exam. Along with the type of questions, I am giving even the number of such questions asked in the exam so that you will have an idea about the questions on which you need to focus more.
Percentage of difficult questions
In the year 2021 in the NEET exam, most of the students felt physics was tough when compared to the previous years. If you look at the following graph only 26% of the paper i.e., 13 questions out of 50 were difficult, 46% of the paper was easy to answer.
If you look at the 2020 paper, the difficulty is only 11% and nearly 70% of the paper was very easy. Nearly 18% of the paper was moderate i.e., you can answer those questions with some extra effort.
In 2019 nearly 56% of the paper is easy and 0nly 20% of the paper was difficult. If you prepare even the basic formulae and concepts you can easily answer more than 30 questions.
From the analysis of the papers from the last three years, it is very clear that the percentage of difficulty is less than the percentage of easy questions. Don't worry about the difficult questions, focus on the easy questions and moderate questions still you can score more than 120 marks in the exam. Work on the basic concepts and never lose confidence you can do better than you think.
Weightage of each chapter
Go through the above table and identify the chapters having more weightage and focus more on those chapters. Identify the chapters which you are good at and those chapters you need support from your teacher. Work on your weak years by solving worked examples.
