The joy of reading books .Why one should read books
In my school days I always used to read only academic books. I never used to read books beyond my academics. In my college days some of my friends were discussed about novels, fictional story books that they have read. Then I was amazed how could these people sit and read books. I was thinking myself don’t they feel bored and how can they be such a dedicated persons to read whole book.
One day I read about Swami Vivekananda, it inspired me a lot. And I wanted to know more about his auto biography. Out of curiosity, I purchased ‘Na Aatma Katha’ book of Swami Vivekananda. And I started reading it daily. I did not stop reading it till it was completed. Because it inspired me. After that I have read Personality Development, Wings Of Fire, Good Student and finally now I stuck in reading Bhagavad Gita.
Reading books not only gave me knowledge but also the ability to understand life in a better way. Reading books gives us many benefits both in our physical and mental health. And it also helps us to improve our well-being. Reading is not just only restricted to academic books. It may be anything poetry, fictional stories, novels, articles etc... Reading will give us a better sense and a way to express views.
One should read books to improve skills, vocabulary. Not only these but also, we can learn morals, it relieves stress and it’s a great source of entertainment. When you read anything enjoy reading it and take the valuable essence from it. What ever you read, just don’t read for a purpose make it as a fruitful hobby.
Life is full of problems and challenges. Through reading books only, I was encouraged myself when I was low. Reading books gives us tips that may be helpful to achieve our goals. As ,my personal experience with reading ,reading has improved not only in my academic but also in social issues .It gives us ability to think positive .I suggest everyone to read and make yourself worthful by reading .
